Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan is scheduled to visit Singapore from May 30 to June 1, 2025, to participate in the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue, an annual event organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies. During his visit, General Chauhan will engage in bilateral discussions with defence chiefs and senior military officials from countries such as Australia, the European Union, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the UK, and the USA.
He is also set to deliver addresses to academics, researchers, and think tanks, speaking on ‘Future Wars and Warfare’. Additionally, he will take part in special sessions at the summit, sharing insights on ‘Defence Innovation Solutions for Future Challenges’.
The Shangri-La Dialogue is recognized as Asia’s leading forum for defence and security discussions. It convenes defence ministers, military leaders, policy experts, and strategists from around the world. This year’s dialogue will bring together representatives from 40 nations to deliberate on security issues in the Indo-Pacific. General Chauhan’s engagements aim to bolster defence ties, promote shared security interests, and advance India’s strategic partnerships in the region.
