US President Trump warns Iran not to rebuild its nuclear program, stating the recent strikes set back Iran’s nuclear efforts by decades and threatening further
US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, cautioning the country against attempting to rebuild its nuclear program following recent US military strikes. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump emphasized that Iran “will not enrich” uranium and insisted that the last thing Iran wants is to restart enrichment activities. He claimed the recent US strikes had inflicted significant damage on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, setting the program back by decades and effectively ending the threat.
Trump also disputed media reports suggesting that Iran had removed 400 kilograms of uranium from its nuclear sites ahead of the US attacks, labeling such news as “fake news” aimed at undermining his administration. According to the White House, these reports sought to weaken the perceived success of the strikes. The President expressed confidence that Iran did not have sufficient time to evacuate critical nuclear materials from targeted sites before the strikes, calling the operation a “tremendous hit” on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
The US leader further asserted that the recent military actions have halted Iran’s progress toward developing nuclear weapons in the near term. He conveyed optimism that Iran is not close to producing a bomb, but warned that any attempt to revive enrichment activities could provoke additional US strikes. This warning underscores ongoing tensions between the two nations and signals Washington’s commitment to preventing Iran’s nuclear development through both diplomatic pressure and military measures.
