Amid AI transformation and layoffs, Satya Nadella urges employees to stay humble learners, not know-it-all.
Facing one of the biggest changes in the history of Microsoft, CEO Satya Nadella recently sent a strong message to its 2,00,000 global team: Always live by adopting "growth mindset". This means that not "know-this-even", but to become a "learner", especially when AI is bringing big changes and restructuring is also happening in the workforce.
Why is this so important right now? Because the company is currently going through many major changes - from adopting new techniques related to AI to the umbrellas affecting thousands of employees. Nadella reminded the employees that humility and the desire to learn have given a new direction to Microsoft in the last decade. This thinking has helped the company face challenges with sympathy and flexibility.
While further explaining the attitude, an emotional burden associated with the deduction of 9,000 jobs in an internal memo recently released was talked about. Nadella admitted that it had been extremely difficult, but at the same time repeated the original mission of Microsoft - to empower every human and organization through technology. The priorities are clear: security, quality and innovation in AI. Nadella explained that this "growth mindset" would take them forward.
The culture of Microsoft led by Nadella has basically changed. On keeping learning above certainty, their emphasis is making the company's adaptation ability and cooperation stronger - which has extremely important qualities in this new era of AI. It reminds that the ability to develop even in difficult times matters more than ever.
Nadella’s message isn’t just corporate pep talk it's a cultural anchor. In a world of rapid change, those who stay curious, open, and adaptable are best equipped to lead and to thrive.
