Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has alleged that Iran’s Islamic regime plotted to assassinate former U.S. President Donald Trump, branding him as their “enemy number one” for his hardline stance on Iran’s nuclear program. In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu praised Trump for dismantling the Iran nuclear deal and ordering the killing of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, actions he believes made Trump a top target. Netanyahu said Iran viewed Trump’s decisive policies as a threat to its ability to enrich uranium and build nuclear weapons.

Netanyahu further claimed that he too had been targeted, citing an incident where a missile was fired into the bedroom window of his home. He described himself as Trump’s “junior partner” in confronting Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Reiterating concerns about Iran’s rapid development of ballistic missile capabilities, Netanyahu stated that Israel was facing a dual existential threat—one from Iran’s nuclear weapons program and another from its expanding missile arsenal. He warned that within three years, Iran could possess 10,000 ballistic missiles capable of striking Israeli cities.

In response, Israel launched a large-scale military operation, codenamed Operation Rising Lion, aimed at crippling Iran’s strategic capabilities. Netanyahu called it “one of the greatest military operations in history” and insisted that it has significantly set back Iran’s nuclear progress. He maintained that negotiations with Iran were futile and said Israel was prepared to take any action necessary to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear arms. Netanyahu concluded by addressing the Iranian people, claiming their regime has oppressed them for decades while threatening regional and global stability. He emphasized that Israel’s actions are not only about national defense but also about protecting broader international security.
