Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a strong warning to the United States on Wednesday, cautioning President Donald Trump that any American strike on Iran will trigger “irreparable consequences.” The statement came in response to Trump's demand for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” following Israeli airstrikes on Tehran. Addressing the nation, Khamenei said Iran will neither accept an imposed war nor peace and emphasized that the country does not respond well to threats. “Israel made a huge mistake and will be punished for that,” he declared, calling the attack a serious provocation.

Earlier, the Iranian capital was rocked by one of the most intense bombardments in recent history as Israel launched overnight air raids targeting key military and nuclear-related infrastructure.
