Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a strong warning to the United States on Wednesday, cautioning President Donald Trump that any American strike on Iran will trigger “irreparable consequences.” The statement came in response to Trump's demand for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” following Israeli airstrikes on Tehran. Addressing the nation, Khamenei said Iran will neither accept an imposed war nor peace and emphasized that the country does not respond well to threats. “Israel made a huge mistake and will be punished for that,” he declared, calling the attack a serious provocation.

Earlier, the Iranian capital was rocked by one of the most intense bombardments in recent history as Israel launched overnight air raids targeting key military and nuclear-related infrastructure. According to Israeli officials, 50 fighter jets struck 20 high-value sites in and around Tehran, including facilities involved in missile production. The strikes followed a warning from Trump posted on Truth Social, where he claimed the U.S. knows Khamenei’s location but is not targeting him "for now." Trump’s message further stressed that continued aggression from Iran would not be tolerated, citing risks to American troops and civilians.

The airstrikes sparked widespread panic, with thousands of civilians reportedly fleeing Tehran in fear of further escalation. Western intelligence sources, cited by Reuters, confirmed that Washington is reviewing options to potentially assist Israel in targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. The current crisis marks a sharp rise in tensions across the region, raising fears of broader conflict. As the situation unfolds, global powers are urging restraint while bracing for possible retaliatory moves from Iran in the coming days.
