The Maldives has officially named Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif as its global brand ambassador for tourism, marking a significant step in promoting the island nation’s luxurious and scenic destinations worldwide. This announcement comes just weeks before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to the Maldives, highlighting the strengthening diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries after a brief period of tension last year.

 

Katrina Kaif, known for her remarkable career in Indian cinema and her widespread international appeal, expressed her excitement about representing the Maldives. She described the country as a perfect blend of natural beauty and luxury, emphasizing the aim to offer travelers an unmatched experience.
