Vance made these remarks during his first official visit to India, which took place from April 21 to 24, while speaking in an interview with Fox News.
He acknowledged the heightened risks when conflicts arise between two nuclear-armed nations like India and Pakistan. Vance emphasized that the U.S. has been in close contact with both countries and expressed hope that India’s response to the attack would not provoke a broader conflict. He also urged Pakistan to cooperate with India and address the terrorist groups that are sometimes believed to operate within its borders.
