Condolences poured in from global leaders following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of at least 26 people. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, US President Donald Trump, and Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed their solidarity with India. This deadly attack, one of the worst in recent years, was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy group of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Leaders from across the world condemned the act, with Netanyahu offering Israel's support in India's fight against terrorism. Meloni, Macron, and others from France, China, Australia, the UK, and the US also extended heartfelt condolences and condemned the violence. US Vice President J D Vance, while in India, shared his sympathies as well.
Russian President Putin condemned the "brutal crime" and reaffirmed Russia's commitment to fighting terrorism with India. Leaders from Germany, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and the EU also expressed solidarity. The UAE and Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the attack, with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman offering support.
Pakistan, Iran, Nepal, and Denmark also joined the global chorus of condolences, expressing support for India in this tragic moment.
