Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has deleted a controversial post from his platform X, in which he claimed that former U.S. President Donald Trump was named in the sealed files of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The now-removed post alleged that Trump's involvement was the real reason why some Epstein-related documents remain unreleased. The bold accusation caused a social media uproar before its sudden deletion, leading many to speculate about a potential reconciliation between Musk and Trump following their recent online feud.

Musk’s post, which briefly went viral before being scrubbed from the platform, stated, “Time to drop the really big bomb. Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” A second follow-up post, also deleted, suggested, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.” This public rift came after Musk resigned from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) last month and criticized Trump’s proposed spending policies and tax reforms, which Musk previously supported.

Trump responded to the claims on Friday, dismissing any interest in engaging with Musk and accusing him of having “lost his mind.” The controversy also reignited interest in the Epstein files, which contain sealed testimonies and documents related to a sex trafficking network involving several high-profile figures. Although many documents have been released over the years through legal channels, speculation continues about hidden names. Meanwhile, critics also resurfaced a 2014 photo of Musk with Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell—an image Musk claimed was an unintentional photobomb. Despite rumors, Musk has consistently denied any connection to Epstein, while the online community remains divided over the credibility and motivations behind his since-deleted accusations.
