Led by Supriya Sule, an Indian all-party delegation arrives in Egypt to highlight India's zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and Pakistan’s links to terror grou
An all-party delegation, headed by NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule, has arrived in Egypt to present India’s firm stance on maintaining zero tolerance towards terrorism. After wrapping up their visit to Ethiopia on Sunday, June 1, 2025, the delegation was welcomed in Cairo by India’s Ambassador to Egypt, Suresh Reddy.
The team has a busy and meaningful itinerary in Egypt, which includes meetings with government ministers, interactions with members of parliament, discussions with think tanks and media, as well as engagements with the Indian diaspora. This visit is part of India’s broader diplomatic initiative involving seven multi-party delegations traveling to 33 global capitals to highlight Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism.
The diplomatic outreach follows heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. In response, India launched precision strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7. Pakistan retaliated by attempting strikes on Indian military installations on May 8, 9, and 10, prompting a firm counter-response from India.
The military exchanges came to a halt after both sides agreed to cease hostilities, following discussions between their directors general of military operations on May 10.
