After the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lost to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, April 1, at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, owner Sanjiv Goenka was spotted having a heated conversation with skipper Rishabh Pant.  In their allocated 20 overs, LSG were limited to 171/7 after being put in to bat first.  Punjab Kings won the match by eight wickets after easily chasing down the score in just 16.2 overs.

After their defeat, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was spotted having a heated conversation with Rishabh Pant, who is also struggling with the bat this season.  Goenka appeared irritated by his team's defeat in their opening home game of the season, and the images of their conversation have gone viral on social media.

Goenka was also observed having a lengthy conversation with Pant during the tournament's opening match against the Delhi Capitals (DC).  The wicketkeeper batsman, meantime, was removed for 2 (5) against Glenn Maxwell after hitting him squarely in the face at short fine leg, failing to make an impression with the bat once more.  As a result, he has only scored 17 runs in three games this season, continuing his dismal batting performance.

He failed to lead his team across the finish line in the second game of the season after scoring 15 (15) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after starting the season with a six-ball duck against DC.  After refusing to be retained by the Delhi Capitals for the current season, the wicketkeeper batter was purchased by LSG for an incredible Rs 27 crore in the mega-auction.  Pant hasn't been able to defend his cost, though, as he also committed some mistakes in wicketkeeping during the opening match.
