India’s T20 World Cup Wins Shine But Cracks Show

India have start the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on a high note with two convincing wins against USA and Namibia in the group stage, but everything is not fully perfect inside the camp yet. On paper the results look dominant, but if someone watched closely, there were few moments that raised eyebrows.

In their opener, India defeated United States by 29 runs. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 84 runs from just 49 balls, and honestly it was the innings that saved India from a serious collapse. At one point they were struggling badly at 77 for 6, which is not something fans expect from such a strong batting lineup. It clearly showed that India still depend a lot on their top stars when pressure situations arrives.

The second game against Namibia looked more comfortable. India posted a strong total of 209 runs thanks to attacking half centuries from Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya. The bowlers then did the rest of the job, restricting Namibia to just 116. It was a convincing 93 run victory and gave India two wins in two matches, building momentum at the right time.

But even with these big wins, there are small cracks visible. The fielding was not sharp in some overs, a couple of catches were dropped and miscommunication happened in the deep. Against stronger oppositions these small mistakes can turn costly very fast. The middle order also looked slightly unstable once early wickets fall.

For now India look confident and in control, but if they want to lift the trophy again, they will need to tighten these loose ends quickly. Big matches are coming and those games don’t forgive mistakes easily.
