Tennis Player Claims Radhika Yadav’s Murder Was Premeditated

Tennis player Himaanshika Singh Rajput released a second video on Instagram on Sunday (July 13, 2025), alleging that her friend Radhika Yadav’s life had become unbearable in the ten days leading up to her murder, which she claimed was premeditated and planned three days before Radhika was fatally shot on July 10.

In her first video shared on Saturday (July 12), titled “Part-I,” Rajput described Radhika — whom she had known for over ten years — as a “kind soul” and “innocent person” who felt “suffocated at home” due to her parents’ conservative mindset and concern with public opinion. In the follow-up video, Rajput alleged that Radhika’s father, Deepak, had been influenced by envious friends who made derogatory remarks about Radhika’s clothing and lifestyle, even insinuating that he was financially dependent on her and might as well push her into prostitution.

“She was deeply distressed in the days before the murder. She had given in and was ready to conform, but her father had lost touch with reality — his face showed no emotion. He clearly had mental health issues,” Rajput claimed.

In the two-minute video titled “Part 2,” she said she had visited Radhika’s house after the tragedy and learned that the murder had been plotted in advance. According to her, Deepak had bought a new revolver, isolated Radhika’s mother in a separate room, sent her brother away, and locked out their pit bull, Luna — who might have intervened. “He waited for the right moment and shot her from behind. Who fires five bullets at their own daughter? What was her fault?” she asked emotionally. “How long will women continue to die at the hands of men and their fragile egos?” she added.

In her earlier video, Rajput had also said that Radhika once enjoyed photography and making videos, but gradually gave it up due to parental disapproval.
