A wave of relief swept over thousands of examinees today on August 29, 2025 as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted re-examinations for nearly 59,500 candidates who had been sidelined by technical glitches during the earlier Selection Posts/Phase-13 exam. SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan confirmed that a comprehensive log analysis pinpointed those affected and that special exam shifts had been arranged just for them.
Originally scheduled for August 13, the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination was postponed to mid-September to address these persistent technical challenges. But the Commission didn’t stop there. To uphold fairness, those whose attempts had been disrupted today were singled out and invited to participate in dedicated exam slots. Gopalakrishnan stressed that this effort was all about restoring trust and ensuring every candidate gets a fair shot.
This quick and sympathetic step gives a strong message: the authority is ready to improve the flaws of the system. This is not just another exam for today's candidates, but the second time they deserved. As soon as the system is preparing for the postponed CGL exams in September, the re -examination reflects the impartiality, transparency and renewed commitment to SSC.
