The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the recruitment of 2,600 Circle Based Officers (CBO) across various regions. The online application process, which began on May 9, will remain open until June 30, 2025. This recruitment drive is open to graduates aged between 21 and 30 years. The selection process involves four stages: an online examination, screening, an interview, and a local language proficiency test. Candidates can apply via the official SBI website by registering, submitting required details and documents, paying the fee (if applicable), and submitting the application form.

The application fee is Rs 750 for candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from the fee. In a significant update, SBI has added English as an acceptable local language for candidates from Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. To qualify, applicants must have studied English in Class 10 or 12 and provide valid documentation. Accordingly, the application window for eligible candidates from these two states has been extended from June 21 to June 30.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the official notification and confirm their eligibility before applying. Any queries related to the process can be addressed by contacting SBI’s helpdesk at 022-22820427 (11 AM to 5 PM on working days) or by visiting cgrs.ibps.in. As competition is expected to be high, candidates are encouraged to complete their applications well before the deadline and begin preparing for the online examination, which is the first step in the multi-stage selection process.
