A new digital platform, Pratibha Setu, offers second-chance opportunities to UPSC aspirants who narrowly missed selection.
In the latest Mann Ki Baat episode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled Pratibha Setu a digital platform dedicated to UPSC candidates who cleared all exam stages but missed the final merit list by a whisker. Recognizing the grind these aspirants undergo the intense preparation, the near misses, the time and financial strain the initiative aims to open new avenues for them.
More than 10,000 such bright individuals already feature in this databank, making their efforts visible to potential employers. According to the announcement, both public institutions and private companies can register on the platform to identify and recruit these talented candidates.
What sets Pratibha Setu apart is its inclusivity. The scheme isn't limited to Civil Services; it reaches out to those who participated in IFS, Engineering Services, CAPF, Geo-Scientist, Economic/Statistical Services, and Combined Medical Services exams. This broad coverage ensures that deserving aspirants across a range of UPSC-backed fields get access to alternate career pathway.
UPSC’s goal is clear: transform near misses into impactful opportunities. Instead of counting a candidate out, Pratibha Setu bridges their skills with actual demand reducing the cost of re-preparation and putting their talents to meaningful use.
This thoughtful initiative could redefine how we perceive merit and success. It offers hope not as an afterthought, but as an integral step forward for aspirants who didn’t make the final cut.
