Dr. Priya Karthika, a 27 -year -old postgraduate psychiatry student from Bangalore, on Monday ended her life -long, causing the entire community of Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences. According to officials, he returned to his hostel room at around 6:30 pm and died after taking more doses of medicines after about two hours.

BIMS Director Ashok Shetty reached the spot and expressed his condolences and seriously admitted to the status of his depression. It was also revealed that Priya had attempted suicide earlier and was undergoing treatment in Bengaluru. Police have confirmed that a case has been registered at the local APMC police station and the post -mortem investigation is pending to find out the exact cause of death.

Although the presence of the medical director showed institutional concern, his untimely death exposed a deep system problem - the pressure, constant mental health struggle and the invisible conflicts that many students keep tolerating silently. Beyond the medical statistics and official statements, this is a story of human vulnerability. There was a young woman behind the name of "PG student", who was not only a medical degree but also the burden of immense pain. His family, fellow and guide are now struggling with guilt, deep sorrow and that painful question: could they do anything else?
