It is an indication that Indian students are constantly adopting global education. According to data from the Bureau of Migration Bureau shared in Parliament, more than 7.6 lakh Indians went abroad in 2024. Although this number is slightly lower than 8.94 lakh students of 2023, it still shows a significant increase compared to the years before the epidemic.

For reference, only about 2.6 lakh students went abroad in the year 2020. The number doubled in 2021 to 4.45 lakhs and then increased to 7.52 lakhs in 2022, while in 2023 it reached its peak. Today's number, even though it is slightly less, still shows that Indian youth remain deeply interested in foreign education options, especially in areas such as Stem, Artificial Intelligence, Business and State -of -the -art technology.

Recognizing the logical and emotional challenges related to studies abroad, the government has taken several steps to make students easier. These initiatives include simplifying the visa process, recognizing educational qualifications abroad, and mutual recognition agreement (MRQs) with other countries and establishing migration and mobility partnership agreement. In addition, the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) provides welfare assistance in unexpected conditions through Indian missions abroad and encourages students to register on help portal for timely help.

But this journey has not been devoid of challenges. Students face frequent economic pressures, cultural adjustments and uncertainties of visa rules. Nevertheless, the overall trend reflects the value of global education and unwavering confidence in the opportunities opening from it.

As Indian students are looking fast abroad in search of opportunities, this permanent tendency highlights ambition, patience and globally associated future promises.
