IISER Aptitude Test 2025 results announced. Candidates can check ranks online. Counselling registration opens June 26 with seat allocation based on rank, prefer
The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have officially released the results of the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025. Candidates who scored at least one mark in the exam have been assigned ranks, which can be accessed on the official admission portal iiseradmission.in by logging in with their credentials. However, obtaining a rank does not guarantee admission. The IAT 2025 was conducted as a computer-based test in May, consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions spanning Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. The exam duration was three hours, with four marks awarded for each correct answer and a one-mark deduction for each incorrect response.
The counselling process for admission to IISERs will begin on June 26 at 5 PM, when the registration portal opens for candidates to fill out and submit their academic preferences by July 3, 5 PM. Admission offers will be granted based on the candidate’s rank, seat availability at the IISER campuses, category, and the preferences provided during counselling. Once an offer is made, candidates must accept and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) online within the stipulated timeframe. Candidates have the option to either freeze their allotted seat, foregoing further counselling rounds, or float, allowing consideration for higher-preferred institutes in subsequent rounds.
Admissions through IAT 2025 are available for integrated 5-year BS-MS dual degree programs, as well as 4-year BS and BTech courses across IISER campuses in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati. The entire admission and counselling process is conducted online, and candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official IISER admission website for updates and further instructions.
