The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline for the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2025. Candidates can now submit their applications until June 26, 11:59 PM, with the last date for fee payment being June 27, 11:59 PM. Following this, a correction window will open from June 28 to June 29, allowing applicants to make necessary changes to their submitted forms. The examinations are scheduled to be held from July 26 to 28, 2025. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in for updates and to verify their application details when the correction window opens.
The CSIR-UGC NET serves as a qualifying exam for Indian candidates aspiring to secure Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointments as Assistant Professors, and admission to PhD programs in universities and colleges nationwide. Applicants must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the official notification, including academic qualifications and prescribed age limits for different positions. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format, lasting three hours, and will feature objective-type questions across five science disciplines: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The question papers will be bilingual, offered in English and Hindi.
Applicants must complete the registration process through the official NTA website by providing valid contact details and uploading necessary documents. Fee payments are to be made online via debit/credit cards, internet banking, or UPI. NTA has set up a helpdesk to assist candidates facing any issues during the application process. For queries, candidates can contact 011-40759000 or 011-69227700 or email csirnet@nta.ac.in. It is essential for applicants to keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
