The results of the 2025 Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election was declared, with the RSS-aligned students group ABVP achieving a decisive victory. Aryan Maan, ABVP candidate, win the coveted President post, defeating NSUI rival Joslyn Nandita Choudhary by a large margin.

In total, of the four major positions contested – President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary  ABVP won three. NSUI manage to secure just one post, that of Vice-President, taken by Rahul Jhansla. The ABVP ticket include Govind Tanwar (Vice-President candidate), Kunal Chaudhary (Secretary), and Deepika Jha (Joint Secretary). Of these, Kunal and Deepika was successful; Govind were not. On the NSUI side, Joslyn Nandita Choudhary lost narrowly for President, while candidates for Secretary and Joint Secretary also fall short.

Vote counts reflect the scale of the ABVP victory. Aryan Maan polled 28,841 vote for President, while his nearest NSUI rival get 12,645. For Vice-President, it was NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla who win with around 29,339 votes. The Secretary and Joint Secretary contests goes to ABVP’s Kunal Chaudhary and Deepika Jha with 23,779 and 21,825 votes, respectively.

Aryan Maan is from Bahadurgarh in Haryana. his campaign promises include measures like subsidised metro passes, better WiFi across campus, improve accessibility audits for persons with disabilities, and enhanced sport infrastructure. Joslyn, an NSUI postgraduate in Buddhist Studies, had focus her manifesto on issues such as reducing hostel shortages, improving campus safety, and instituting menstrual leave.

DUSU elections is closely watched each year both as a measure of student sentiment in Delhi University, and often as a reflection of broader political trend. Past result show fluctuating dominance between ABVP and NSUI, with the former having hold the President post more often overall.
