The details of Operation Sindoor were known to only a select few. The final decision was made by NSA Ajit Doval. As soon as he gave the signal, Indian aircraft
India has avenged the killing of 26 innocent Indians in Pahalgam. On the night of May 6 and 7, India executed Operation Sindoor, shaking Pakistan to its core. In this operation, the headquarters of terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen were destroyed. India targeted 9 terror camps where around 900 terrorists were believed to be present.
Now the big question—who led this major operation?
The entire command of Operation Sindoor was in the hands of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. He formed a special team and led the operation from a control room. NTRO (National Technical Research Organisation) also played a key role in the mission.
First, intelligence was gathered on terrorist activities taking place inside Pakistan. Then, locations were identified where terrorists had established new bases. India had been closely monitoring all these sites for some time.
Once the full plan was ready, Ajit Doval met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him in detail. Together, they decided that only terrorist bases would be targeted. After the Prime Minister gave his approval, the operation was finalized.
Only a very limited number of people were informed about the strike. On the night of May 6, as soon as NSA Ajit Doval gave the green signal, Indian aircraft took off. Shortly after, the airstrikes began on terrorist camps inside Pakistan.
