Rahul Gandhi alleges mass voter deletions nationwide, demands accountability from Election Commission with solid evidence.
Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on Thursday where he said his team had uncovered what he termed a vote chori factory a large-scale operation to remove or manipulate voter entries. He used the phrase hydrogen bomb of evidence to emphasise the seriousness of the claims and asserts that the proof he has is 100 per cent solid.
This comes after an earlier presser in August in which Gandhi accused the Election Commission of collaborating with the BJP to facilitate electoral fraud. He claimed that their investigation, carried out over six months by a 40-member team, discovered hundreds of thousands of bogus voter entries in Mahadevapura in Karnataka, irregular father names, faulty house numbers, missing CCTV footage, and EC refusal to share voter‐data.
Gandhi insists these irregularities are not limited to one state but extend also to places like Maharashtra and Haryana. He emphasises that his intention is not to make allegations without backing, promising full proof before making any further public charge.
The opposition leader’s remarks are likely to intensify debates over electoral integrity. Critically, the Election Commission has yet to respond publicly to these latest assertions. Whether this leads to legal scrutiny, formal investigation, or political fallout remains to be seen.
