PM Modi highlights India's military support, self-reliance, and firm terror policy while highlighting development projects in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
During his recent stay in Kanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful speech that marks India's growing military potential, its push for self-reliance, and a no nonsense approach to terrorism. Addressing a large gathering, he spoke proudly about Operation Sindoor, where the rooted developed BrahMos missile was used successfully during a conflict with Pakistan. This showcased India’s defence strength and the collision of the Make in India campaign in creating modern, home grown weapons.
PM Modi emphasized the importance of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, explaining that there was a time when India had to depend on foreign nations for security needs. However, he mention that scenarios have changed, and today’s India is confident, capable, and independent in defending itself. He added that this self-reliance not only hoists the economy but also enhances national pride and dignity.
Outlining a new doctrine for handling terrorism, PM Modi laid down three key principles: India will respond to every terror attack, it will not fear empty nuclear threats, and it will treat terrorist groups and their sponsor nations with the same firmness. In a direct warning to Pakistan, he declared that India would strike back boldly, no matter where the enemy hides.
He used a local Kanpuriya phrase to say, “Dushman kahin bhi ho, honk diya jayega,” meaning the enemy will be handle with wherever they are. The crowd cheered aloud in response.
Alongside this strong message, PM Modi also launched and laid the foundation stone for 15 major development projects worth ₹47,600 crores and initiated a new corridor of the Kanpur Metro. His speech combined concerns of progress, national pride, and a clear stand against terrorism resonating deeply with the public.
