IMD Issues Thunderstorm Alert for 25 Telangana Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 25 districts in Telangana on Sunday, July 27, 2025. As per IMD’s latest weather bulletin, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are expected to occur at isolated locations across the state.

The affected districts include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy.

For Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the IMD forecasts a generally cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. The city is expected to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, with occasional intense spells likely in the evening or night. Hazy conditions are also anticipated during the morning hours. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 25°C, while the minimum temperature may hover near 22°C, the bulletin added.
