Lok Janshakti Party leader and Union Minister Chirag Paswan openly said that he relies on Nitish Kumar and dismissed recent media publicity over differences in NDA. In a conversation with ANI, Paswan insisted that the opposition leaders are deliberately presenting their earlier statements on Bihar's crime situation, so that there can be an illusion of differences in the ruling coalition.
He clarified that his criticism was meant to highlight governance gaps especially in law and order not to undermine the alliance. “Since I am part of the government at the centre, I raise issues constructively so that the concerns of Biharis reach the right corridors of power,” he explained.
Paswan pointed out that the opposition’s strategy hinges on selective interpretation. He accused them of distorting his words, claiming they have “amplified” his remarks to project a manufactured rift in the NDA. However, he insisted that the alliance is strong and united. The LJP chief reiterated his belief in Nitish’s leadership, stating that the alliance under Nitish Kumar will go on to win over 225 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He reinforced the message using the slogan “Hum Sath Sath Hain” We Are Together. Posing his criticism as a moral duty rather than dissent, he said: “It’s my responsibility to raise concerns about public safety, not to create political drama.” With clear eyes and a firm voice, Paswan framed himself as a partner committed to both governance and accountability.
Chirag Paswan’s message is consistent- yes, he trusts Nitish Kumar, but he will also speak up when needed and any claims of infighting are opposition spin.
