Four individuals were arrested on Tuesday in connection with an assault on a group of bikers on the Dwarka Expressway, during which a luxury sports bike was reportedly damaged with a baseball bat, according to police.
The incident occurred on Sunday when the accused, who were travelling in a car, got into a heated argument with the bikers. The situation quickly escalated into violence, with the suspects physically assaulting the bikers and severely damaging one of the motorcycles.
Hardik Sharma, one of the complainants, stated that the attackers appeared to be intoxicated. He is seeking compensation for the damages to his bike, which he estimates to be between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh.
“The accused were drunk. They started beating Gaurav and Abhinav. When all the bikers were riding away, they (the accused) targeted me on the head with a baseball bat and also damaged my bike. I survived because of my helmet,” he added.
A senior police official also said that they were interrogating the accused but it isn’t clear if the accused was drunk or not during the incident.
