Adani Airport Holdings has announced the immediate termination of its ground handling concession agreements with Turkish firm Celebi at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA). The decision follows the Indian government’s revocation of Celebi’s security clearance.

A spokesperson for the airports stated that Celebi has been instructed to promptly hand over all ground handling infrastructure to ensure continued, uninterrupted operations. The move is aimed at maintaining seamless service across both airports, which are operated by Adani Airport Holdings.

The company emphasized that it will now engage new ground handling agencies to take over these responsibilities, assuring that airline services will continue without disruption. Adani also clarified that all current Celebi employees at the two airports will be absorbed by the new agencies under the same employment terms and conditions.

In addition to Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Adani Airport Holdings also operates airports in Mangalore, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram. The company reiterated its commitment to providing high-quality service while safeguarding national interests.

“Ground handling operations will continue as usual,” the spokesperson said, adding that Adani remains fully dedicated to upholding service standards throughout this transition.
