Lucknow was left in shock after a tragic accident claimed the life of a six-year-old child when a speeding car driven by a class 12 student hit him near a busy road. What should have been a normal day turned into heartbreak for the family and neighbourhood, as people rushed to help and later criticised reckless driving among young motorists.

According to local police, the incident took place in the morning hours when the young driver, who is also a school student, was driving at high speed and lost control of the vehicle. The six-year-old, who was playing near his home, was struck by the car and suffered serious injuries. Neighbours said the boy was well known in the area and often played with other children on the same street, which makes the whole tragedy even harder to accept.

Eyewitnesses said they saw the vehicle racing just moments before the crash, and by the time people reached the spot the boy was lying unconscious. Someone immediately called for help, and the injured child was rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents. Doctors tried their best, but the young boy could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later. This loss has left the entire community devastated.

Police have taken the student driver into custody and are questioning him to understand why he was driving so fast without proper caution. Some neighbours told officers that they often saw him driving around carelessly before, but nobody expected something so terrible to happen. Investigators are also checking whether he had a valid licence and if his parents were aware he was out driving on public roads.

Family members of the victim were seen sobbing outside the hospital, struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of their child. Friends and relatives of the boy are offering support, but there is a deep sense of grief that words cannot easily heal. Many locals are now demanding stricter checks on young drivers and better road safety measures to prevent such incidents in future.

Officials have said that the case will be handled seriously, and appropriate charges will be filed once the investigation is complete. They also urged parents to monitor their children’s activities, especially when it comes to driving, and to ensure road safety is taken seriously by all.
