In a remarkable initiative on July 10, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu teaches a full 45‑minute Social Science class to Class 10 students at Zilla Parishad High School in Kothacheruvu. This act is part of a statewide mega parent–teacher meeting attended by over 2.3 crore people including students, parents, teachers, alumni, donors, and officials.

During the session, Naidu covered essential topics such as conventional and non‑conventional resources, power generation, patents, water resources, and the impact of technology. He also reviewed progress cards and engaged directly with students and parents, encouraging academic excellence under the government’s Thalliki Vandanam scheme, which provides ₹15,000 per child annually to mothers who ensure regular attendance.

Education Minister Nara Lokesh, who was sitting with the students, appreciated the initiative and described it as an important step towards bringing politics close to education. Chief Minister Naidu stressed that the objective of this event is to create a non-political, education-focused environment in schools, so that government institutions can reach high standards like private institutions.

This bold step indicates the beginning of a new era of accountability and community participation in the education system of Andhra Pradesh. By doing teaching work and communicating with stakeholders, Naidu has set an example for future participation and has shown his true commitment to educational reforms. This type of mega parent-teacher meat every year can create a strong relationship between parents and teachers, can boost students' confidence and gradually reduce the dropout rate in the state.
