Date: Jul 31, 2025 | Source: Fela News
Volvo is gearing up to unveil the 2025 XC60 facelift in India on August 1. This is the second update for the current-generation XC60, a vital player in Volvo’s mid-size luxury SUV lineup. While the SUV retains its recognizable shape, the facelift introduces subtle exterior tweaks and upgraded interior tech specifically aimed at Indian consumers.

Design
Externally, the refreshed XC60 gets a redesigned front grille featuring diagonal slats, new dual-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels, and revised air vents on the front bumper. The tail-lights now carry a smoked finish, enhancing the SUV's stylish presence. It’s yet to be confirmed if new global paint options—Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red—will be available in India.

Interior
Inside, the 2025 XC60 sees a major tech upgrade with an all-new 11.2-inch freestanding touchscreen powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. This system ensures smoother performance, better visuals, and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates. A revamped speaker grille design and potentially new trim elements enhance the cabin, while premium touches like the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity audio system remain.

Powertrain
Under the hood, the India-spec facelift is expected to retain the B5 AWD mild-hybrid system. It features a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine combined with a 48V hybrid setup, producing 250 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive.

Pricing & Competition
The current XC60 is priced at ₹70.75 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift is expected to cost slightly more. It will compete with rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5. With over 2.7 million units sold globally, the XC60 remains Volvo’s best-seller, and the 2025 update aims to reinforce its market appeal.
