Mahindra is preparing to introduce its much awaited Scorpio N based pickup truck in 2027, and the excitement among auto lovers is clearly building up. The vehicle was first shown as a concept a few years ago, and now it is slowly turning into a production ready model. Many people have been waiting to see how Mahindra will enter the lifestyle pickup segment in a bigger way, and it looks like the company is serious about it.
Unlike traditional commercial pickups that focus only on utility, this new Scorpio N pickup is expected to combine toughness with comfort. It will likely feature a dual cab design, giving enough space for family use as well as practical work needs. The truck is expected to carry forward the strong road presence of the Scorpio N SUV, which already enjoys solid popularity in India and other markets.
Under the hood, the pickup may use the familiar 2.2 litre diesel engine that powers the Scorpio N SUV. There could also be options like automatic transmission and four wheel drive in higher variants. While the company has not officially revealed complete specifications yet, industry reports suggests that the vehicle will offer a balanced mix of performance and capability.
Inside the cabin, buyers can expect modern features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, updated dashboard design and improved safety equipment. The focus seems to be on making it more lifestyle oriented rather than purely work focused.
Mahindra is reportedly planning to launch the pickup first in international markets such as Australia, South Africa and New Zealand before bringing it to India. If everything goes as planned, this 2027 launch could open a new chapter for Mahindra in the global pickup market.
