Bajaj Auto’s Chetak electric scooter has reached a major milestone, emerging as India’s top-selling e-scooter with an all-time high of 34,863 units sold in March 2025. This achievement highlights the growing consumer preference for sustainable transportation and reinforces Bajaj Auto’s strong foothold in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.
March 2025 marked a record-breaking month for Bajaj Auto, with Chetak sales soaring to 34,863 units—an average of over 1,124 scooters sold per day. This contributed to a record fiscal year, with total sales exceeding 230,761 units, reflecting an impressive 116% growth compared to the 106,624 units sold the previous year.
The company also reported a significant rise in market share, reaching 20% in FY2025, almost double the 11% recorded the previous year. This surge is largely attributed to strategic initiatives, including the successful launch of the Chetak 35 Series in December 2024, which has received a positive response from consumers.
