Shiv Sena functionary Rahool Kanal claimed on Saturday that BookMyShow has removed comedian Kunal Kamra from its listings and ticket sales. Kanal, who handles social media for the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, thanked BookMyShow CEO Ashish Hemrajani for "keeping the platform clean" and excluding artists with personal agendas.

BookMyShow declined to comment on the matter. Responding on X, Kamra asked the platform to confirm whether he could still list shows, adding that he would understand if not.

In a letter to Hemrajani, Kanal expressed gratitude for removing Kamra from BookMyShow's listings and even its search history, praising the company’s stance on maintaining public sentiment and peace.

Kanal added that while Mumbai appreciates all art forms, it does not support performances with personal motives.

Notably, Kanal and several Shiv Sena members were booked for allegedly vandalizing the venue where Kamra had performed a show mocking Shinde. Mumbai Police issued Kamra three notices for questioning, which he has so far ignored.
