Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauds new criminal laws for faster justice and criticizes Congress on unemployment.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently commended the newly implement criminal laws in India, saying they can help to speed up justice delivery. Speaking at public event in Kurukshetra, Shah said that conviction rate in Haryana had doubled to 80% after introducing these reforms. He also projected that starting from 2026, cases would be solved within average of three years, trying to remove long delays in judicial process.
Shah also inaugurated many development projects in region, showing government’s commitment to progress. During his speech, he criticizes Congress party for handling unemployment issues, saying if similar efforts done earlier, country maybe not faced such problems. He also credited current administration for bringing new life to sectors like khadi and dairy, with plan to start over 75,000 new dairy cooperatives under “White Revolution 2.0” initiative.
The new criminal laws, including Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), aim to modernize legal framework, focusing on fast justice and reducing case backlogs. These reforms is part of bigger effort to improve efficiency and effectiveness of India’s justice system.
As implementation move forward, government expect big improvements in judicial process, matching its vision for more responsive and accountable legal system.
