MNS chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray express willingness to reconcile and work together for Maharashtra and Marathi people, putti
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday separately expressed willingness to reconcile and work together in the interest of Maharashtra and the Marathi community, setting aside past differences.
In a podcast hosted by filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, Raj Thackeray said he is open to collaborating with his estranged cousin Uddhav Thackeray if it's for the greater good of Maharashtra. “For me, the state's interest comes before everything else. I can overlook minor disputes and work with Uddhav—if he’s willing,” Raj said.
Responding during an event organized by his party’s trade union wing, Bhartiya Kamgar Sena, Uddhav welcomed the idea but added a condition. “I’m also ready to move past our differences for the sake of Marathi and Maharashtra. But Raj must stop associating with anti-Maharashtra elements or those who support such groups,” he said.
Uddhav further stated that any renewed alliance should be rooted in a sincere commitment, urging Raj to pledge loyalty before Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
