As soon as Digital India initiative completes its 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called it a "mass movement" than a government scheme, which has brought revolutionary changes in the country's digital scenario. The scheme launched in 2015 was aimed at bridge digital trenches, especially for the underprivileged, and today it has become a powerful engine of innovation, governance and economic change.

PM Modi said that during Digital India's 10 -year visit, 1.4 billion Indians were added, the number of internet users increased from 25 crores to 85 crore in 2014, and 42 lakh kilometers of optical fibers and about 5 lakh 5G base stations have been set up across the country.

The initiative has empowered citizens through tools such as UPI, Digilocker, DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), Cowin and PM-Wani, which has ensured transparency, speed and easy access to services. The Prime Minister also informed that Digital India has saved thousands of crores of rupees by stopping leakage in government schemes and has given a platform to emerge more than 11 lakh startups. Today India is leading the world in digital public structure, AI, digital payments, and data innovation.

PM Modi said that Digital India's 10 -year visit has now recognized India as a "reliable innovation partner", which matches the digital goals of self -reliant India.

He finally stated that the coming decade would focus on deep-tech, skilling and inclusive innovation, which would further strengthen India's global digital leadership capacity. This celebration is not just progress, but is the promise of a connected, strong and innovative India.
