Which began like a simple meeting through a dating app, he became an unexpected nightmare for a 26 -year -old young man from Mumbai. This young professional working in a private company was thinking that he is going to meet a new person and go on a simple dinner date. But instead, he became a victim of a well -planned fraud.

The two met at a restaurant in Borivali. The evening started normal, but as soon as the bill came ₹ 35,000 - then the case began to look suspicious. Surprised and distressed young men soon realized that the staff of the restaurant and the woman, possibly planned to cheat her.

A Mumbai man fell victim to a dating app scam involving a woman and hotel staff who charged an inflated bill, highlighting rising concerns around app-based fraud and personal safety. After the incident, he approached MHB Colony Police Station and filed an FIR. The police are currently investigating the case, trying to determine if this was an isolated incident or part of a larger scam network.

Dating apps have converted into common way for people to meet, but stories like this are a wake-up call. It’s not just about heartbreak anymore there are real financial and emotional risks involved. Administrations are urging people to be cautious, especially when meeting someone for the first time in unfamiliar locations.
