Security forces in Manipur arrested nine militants from various banned groups across three districts, police reported on Friday. Four members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (MFL) were captured in Lamding Khumanthem Leikai, Thoubal district, on Thursday.
In another operation, three militants from the United National Liberation Front (Pambei) were detained near Lilong Bridge in Thoubal. Additionally, one militant from the Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon) was arrested in Lamlai, Imphal East, while another from the KCP (PWG) was apprehended in Ningthoukhong Kha Keirungba Leikai, Bishnupur. Authorities seized arms and ammunition, including country-made pistols and hand grenades, from their possession.
