Kharge questions PM Modi’s foreign policy, worries about India is surrounded by enemies. He demands answers as neighbors grow hostile and criticizes the governm
In a fiery statement that struck a chord with many, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge questioned Prime Minister Modi’s foreign policy. Speaking at a public gathering, Kharge didn’t hold back as he asked, “Modi ji, where are you?” His question wasn’t just rhetorical it was rooted in real concern. According to him, India is increasingly surrounded by enemies, and the government is simply watching in silence.
Kharge pointed to growing tensions with China, strained relations with Pakistan, and even unexpected developments with the Maldives. “Our neighbors, one after another, are turning hostile. Why are we letting this happen?” he said, clearly frustrated. For a country that once claimed regional leadership, Kharge feels India is now losing ground diplomatically.
He also criticized the government’s tendency to highlight grand foreign tours while ignoring real issues back home. “Foreign policy isn’t just about photo-ops or speeches on global stages. It’s about building trust, resolving conflicts, and protecting national interests,” he added.
Many in the audience nodded in agreement. For them, the question of being surrounded by enemies isn’t just a political slogan it’s a reflection of growing unease in a changing world. Kharge’s words may have been aimed at the ruling party, but they echoed a broader sentiment: that India needs a stronger, clearer voice in global affairs.
While the BJP is yet to officially respond, Kharge’s direct challenge may force the government to explain where it stands and what it plans to do about India’s evolving geopolitical landscape.
