Former Chief Justices of India, J.S. Khehar and D.Y. Chandrachud, engaged with the parliamentary panel reviewing the simultaneous elections bill on Friday (July 11, 2025), during the committee’s eighth meeting.
The Joint Parliamentary Committee, chaired by BJP MP P.P. Chaudhary has been consulting with jurists and legal experts to shape its recommendations on the proposed legislation.
