Anant Ambani rescued a flock of chickens, social media is divided - people are calling it a pr stunt while some are appreciating his thoughtfulness.
During his padayatra from Jamnagar to Dwarka, Anant Ambani, son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, made headlines for rescuing a flock of poultry chickens. The incident occurred on April 1 near Khambhalia in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district and quickly went viral on social media.
A widely circulated video shows Anant stopping a van transporting chickens for slaughter. Holding a hen, he instructs his team to rescue all the birds and ensures the owner is compensated, highlighting his commitment to animal welfare.
Anant is undertaking a 120 km trek to the sacred site of Dwarka, covering 10 km each night under tight security. Having completed 60 km, he expects to reach his destination within a few days.
He attributed his journey to divine blessings, saying, “I am able to undertake this padayatra because of Lord Dwarkadhish’s grace.” While many netizens praised his compassion, calling it inspiring, some dismissed it as a PR stunt.
