CM Rekha Gupta has assured to curb the pollution and clean up the Yamuna river.
Delhi's new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta appeared at the India Today Conclave and discussed her vision and aspirations for the city. She talked about water management, pollution control, and cleaning up the Yamuna River.
She posed significant promises on the progress of these issues stating that waste at landfill sites would be reduced by 80% by 2027. When asked about BJP’s strategy to tackle Delhi's pollution crisis she responded by saying,
“People won't have to leave the city in winter this time.”
Gupta has vowed to not only improve Delhi's AQI but also promote e-vehicles to combat the dire pollution situation.
