The murder of another businessman in Patna has created a wave of anger. Tejashwi Yadav attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and called him a "unconscious Chief
In yet another shocking incident in Bihar’s capital, Vikram Jha, a well-known businessman and owner of Trishna Mart, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Patna’s Ramkrishna Nagar on Friday evening. The attackers, reportedly on a bike, fled the scene after pumping bullets into Jha, leaving the locality gripped in fear.
This murder follows closely on the heels of the killings of Gopal Khemka and sand trader Ramakant Yadav, both of which had already stirred public anxiety. The repeated attacks on members of the business community have now raised serious concerns about the crumbling law and order situation in the state.
Reacting strongly, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him an “unconscious chief minister.” In a scathing attack, he said, “Is the CM even aware of what’s happening under his watch? The state is spiraling into lawlessness.”
The police arrived at the scene soon after the incident, recovering Jha’s body and sending it for post-mortem. No arrests have been made yet, but an investigation is underway.
The opposition has seized the moment, turning it into a political flashpoint. While Nitish Kumar's allies deny that Bihar is slipping into “jungle raj,” critics argue that the state has become increasingly unsafe, especially for businessmen.
Local business associations have expressed deep concern and demanded immediate action and strong security. If this series continues like this, it will not only affect the commercial environment of Bihar, but will also have a serious impact on the upcoming electoral scenario.
It is clear that the place of trust is now taking fear among the entrepreneurs of Patna, and their silence will become even more resonant until any concrete steps are taken by the top leadership of the state.
