A routine drive turned into a nightmare for a Bengaluru woman and her family when a road rage incident spiralled out of control. After overtaking a cab in Hulimavu, she was allegedly chased by a group of 10–12 men suspected to be cab drivers who followed her all the way to her apartment complex.

According to reports, the mob vandalized her vehicle, hurling bricks at her car and forcing their way into her gated society. In the chaos, the woman’s father stepped in to defend his daughter, only to be assaulted in the melee. Video footage from CCTV showed the disturbing sequence a smashed window, a relentless pursuit, and unprovoked aggression that rattled the neighbourhood.

Her father quickly filed a formal complaint at the Hulimavu Police Station. In response, police have filed an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) including charges of violent assault, trespassing, intimidation, and damaging property.

Law enforcement has launched a manhunt for the attackers, while increasing patrols in the area to curb similar incidents and reassure residents.
