Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for artificial intelligence, stating that it is positioning India as a future global technology leader. Speaking about the national AI roadmap, Yogi said that the initiative is not only about innovation but also about empowering youth, farmers and entrepreneurs across the country.
He highlighted that Uttar Pradesh is actively aligning itself with the broader national strategy. According to him, the state has already started multiple programs to ensure that young people are equipped with modern technical skills. Under the AI Pragya initiative, more than one million youth in the state are being trained in advanced technologies. These programs aim to prepare them for emerging job opportunities in AI driven sectors.
The chief minister also spoke about how artificial intelligence is helping improve agriculture in the state. With the help of data analysis and digital tools, farmers are able to make better decisions related to crop planning, weather patterns and resource management. This technological support is gradually making farming more productive and efficient, benefiting lakhs of farming families.
Yogi further mentioned that Uttar Pradesh intends to become a major hub for AI based innovation. The government is working on strengthening digital infrastructure, promoting startups and building technology parks that can support research and development. He emphasised that AI should be secure, scalable and inclusive, ensuring benefits reach both urban and rural communities.
He stressed that the focus is not only on economic growth but also on ethical and responsible use of technology. According to him, artificial intelligence must serve people and improve governance systems, healthcare, education and public services.
By combining national vision with state level execution, Uttar Pradesh aims to play a strong role in India’s AI journey. The remarks reflect a clear intent to transform the state into a centre of innovation while ensuring that development remains inclusive and citizen focused in the years ahead.
