Six Year Old Dies During MRI Scan

In a heartbreaking incident from Greater Noida, a six year old boy died during an MRI scan, leaving his family devastated and demanding answers. The child, lovingly called Chiku by his family, had been taken to a private diagnostic centre for an MRI test after doctors advised the scan to examine a medical issue.

According to his father, everything appeared normal when they reached the centre. As part of the procedure, medical staff administered an injection before the scan. Such injections are often given to young children to calm them or help them stay still inside the MRI machine, which can be loud and intimidating. However, what followed has left the family shattered.

The father claims that shortly after the injection was given, his son’s condition began to deteriorate. He said the child’s breathing pattern changed and he started appearing weak. Instead of feeling reassured, the family felt something was seriously wrong. They allege that an excessive or incorrect dose may have been administered, which led to the boy losing consciousness.

Seeing their child unresponsive created panic. Staff members attempted to provide assistance and the boy was rushed to another hospital for emergency treatment. Despite efforts by doctors, he was declared dead soon after. The father has said that they repeatedly asked for medical reports and a clear explanation but felt they were not given satisfactory answers.

The grieving family believes negligence may have played a role in the tragedy. They are demanding a thorough investigation so that the truth comes out and accountability is fixed if any wrongdoing is found. No parent imagines that a routine medical scan could end in such a terrible way.

Police have begun investigating the matter, collecting documents and questioning staff members at the diagnostic centre. The case has also raised wider concerns about safety protocols and monitoring standards during medical procedures, especially when children are involved.

For the family, though, these investigations cannot ease the pain. They lost a child in what was supposed to be a simple diagnostic test. And that pain, they say, will never really go away.
