Morning scene at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport got scary real quick when an Air India bus suddenly caught fire near Bay No. 32 at Terminal 3. People around got shocked seeing flames so close to an aircraft.

The bus belonged to AI SATS, the ground service for Air India. Luckily, no one was inside it not even the driver when it started burning. Some staff nearby saw smoke rising and instantly raised an alarm.

Airport fire team reacted super fast. Fire trucks reached within minutes and started spraying water before the fire could reach any plane. Within short time, the fire was under control, though for few minutes, everyone around was really scared.

Officials from Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said no aircraft got damaged and no one was injured. Flights continued as normal after safety check was done.

Early reports say it could be a short circuit inside the bus, but investigation is still going on. People posted videos online you can see the bus on fire and smoke rising dangerously close to aircraft. It spread quick on social media and made many people worried about safety at airports.

Even though it looked bad, the quick work by ground staff and firefighters stopped it from becoming something worse. Many called their action “brave and super quick.”

Experts said this should remind everyone how important vehicle checkups and fire safety are inside airports. Even a small mistake or bad wiring can lead to big trouble when planes and fuel are nearby.

By evening, things went back to normal, but for few minutes in the morning, Delhi Airport saw real panic. It was a lucky escape and a big lesson on being ready for anything.
