A shocking case from Lucknow has drawn widespread attention after a young man allegedly murdered his father and made disturbing statements during police questioning. The incident reportedly took place on February 20 following a heated argument between father and son inside their home.

According to investigators, the accused, identified as Akshat, shot his father Manvendra Singh during the dispute. Police say the altercation escalated rapidly, ending in fatal violence. Law enforcement teams reached the scene soon after and began a detailed investigation to reconstruct the sequence of events.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to attempting to conceal the crime in a gruesome manner. Investigators claim he dismembered parts of his father’s body using tools available inside the house. The torso was reportedly placed inside a blue drum with the intention of disposing of it later.

Police sources state that the accused told officers he had planned to cremate his father alone to avoid suspicion. However, his alleged plan was interrupted when he panicked after noticing movement or noise near his parked vehicle. Parts of the body were later recovered from an area located some distance away from the family residence.

Authorities also revealed that the accused’s younger sister was present in the house during the incident. It is alleged that she was threatened and warned not to inform anyone about what had happened. Investigators are continuing to question family members and examine possible motives behind the crime.

The weapon believed to have been used in the shooting has been seized, and forensic teams are analysing evidence collected from the scene. Police officials say the investigation is ongoing and that formal charges will be filed in court.

The brutal nature of the crime has left the local community shaken. Beyond the legal process, the incident has sparked conversations about family conflicts, emotional distress and the importance of early intervention when domestic tensions escalate.

As the case proceeds through the legal system, authorities are working to ensure that all facts are thoroughly examined and justice is served.
