Honouring India Unity PM Modi Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Ekta Diwas

On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, a day celebrated for honouring national unity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, to paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Parade events was going on as the Prime Minister joined prayers and offered floral respect to Patel, who is known as the architect of national integration.

Around 8 a.m., the Prime Minister stood in front of the grand statue, thinking on Patel’s huge role in unifying over 550 princely states into one country. Modi mentioned that Patel’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” still staying highly important today, saying that Patel didn’t only write history but actually made it happen.

A video was shared on social media showing Patel’s life and his strong values like honesty, service and good governance, which still form the base of the nation. Before the main event, the Prime Minister also met members of Patel’s family in Kevadia, which added personal and symbolic touch to the day.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas marks Patel’s birth anniversary and remind everyone to stay committed to unity and self-reliance. Modi shared that Patel’s legacy is not only a chapter in history but a continuous call for every citizen to stand for a strong and united country.

The ceremony wasn’t just a formal program, but also a moment showing how past and present connect together a leader paying homage to a visionary and a shared dream of unity, national strength and collective identity.
